This gorgeous antique rug is made in the city of Senneh that is located in the Kurdish part of Persia in the 1940’s. The field of this stunning rug is decorated with large boteh motives that symbolize fertility in Persian culture. The boteh motives are woven in grass green with pops of lemon tones that brings out the symbol boldly. The field has intricate floral design that resembles spring blossom in pink on ivory color. The borders are unique in their design and feature abstract forms of flowers. This rare rug can be used as wall art. Fringes are over-locked on one side as shown in the photos.
