Description
Persian Sirjan Kilim – Handwoven Tribal Flatweave (200 × 120 cm)
This striking Persian Sirjan Kilim is a beautiful example of traditional tribal flatweaving from the Sirjan region of southern Iran. Handwoven by skilled tribal artisans, the kilim features a dynamic arrangement of horizontal bands filled with bold geometric motifs that reflect the rich cultural heritage of nomadic Persian weaving.
The design is composed of repeating diamond medallions, angular tribal symbols, and intricate geometric patterns arranged in vibrant rows across the field. A warm palette of deep reds, navy blues, earthy browns, ivory, and soft rust tones creates a balanced and lively composition. The detailed borders frame the central design with smaller geometric motifs that enhance the overall symmetry and structure of the piece.
Woven using the traditional flatweave technique, Sirjan kilims are prized for their durability, lightweight structure, and versatility. Their tribal character and bold patterns make them ideal for contemporary interiors as statement floor pieces, wall hangings, or layered décor elements.
