Sofreh is a type of flat-weave rug that is generally used for bread-making, preservation and a spread on the floor to put out for lunch and dinner.

The featured vintage Sofreh is made by Afshar Tribe in Persia. The design of this Sofreh features a central square shape followed by loose zig zags. The design is finished by decorated small rosettes in the border. There are some tassels attached to the four corners of this stunning piece. The use of color is admirable. The colour of Sofreh represents desirable Abrash due to the humble vegetable dying vessels of tribal people. Variation of one colour results in stunning and irreproducible stripes.

This unique Sofreh could be a perfect addition to any collection. It can be used as a tablecloth on the dining table or coffee table.
