Sofreh is a type of flat-weave rug that is generally used for bread-making, preservation and a spread on the floor to put out for lunch and dinner.
The featured vintage Sofreh is made by Afshar tribe in Persia. The design of this Sofreh features a large eye like motif in the centre followed by loose zig zags. The colour of Sofreh represents desirable Abrash due to the humble vegetable dying vessels of tribal people. Variation of one colour results in stunning stripes and makes the minimal field of sofreh interesting.
This unique Sofreh could be a perfect addition to any collection. It can be used as a table cloth on the dining table or coffee table.
