Persian Gabbeh rugs are authentic handwoven rugs made by tribal people in Fars province of Persia. Being made of Hand Spun Wool and coarser knots, Gabbeh is an extremely thicker version of a Persian Rug.
The field of this unique Persian Gabbeh rug features striking tent motifs representing a nomadic village. Human motifs around the village are showing traditional dance moves. The borders reveal the same minimalistic character with animal symbols and territorial markings. There are color changes within the field called “Abrash” which comes from different batches of wool and organic dyes. This results in stunning stripes of different tones in one color. This gorgeous tribal art piece comes also with a very thick and soft wool pile.
This abstract Gabbeh rug could be an ideal addition for large living areas, and it will add warmth to your space.
