Persian Gabbeh rugs are authentic handwoven rugs made by tribal people in Fars province of Persia. Being made of Hand Spun Wool and coarser knots, Gabbeh is an extremely thicker version of a Persian Rug.
The field of this stunning Gabbeh rug features a dark background that is decorated with homes, human and animal motifs depicting a “village scene”. The tree design that surrounds the depicted village creates a beautiful frame around the central piece. The color palette further introduces warmer red and mustard tones. There are color changes within the field called “Abrash” which comes from different batches of wool and organic dyes. This results in stunning stripes of different tones in one color. The wool pile in this Persian gabbeh is extremely thick and soft.
This abstract Gabbeh rug could be an ideal addition for any living rooms, bedrooms or kids rooms.
