Persian Gabbeh rugs are authentic handwoven rugs that are made by tribal people in Fars province of Persia. There are color changes within the field and border called “Abrash” which comes from different batches of wool and organic dyes. This results in stunning stripes of different tones in one color. The featured Gabbeh rug is made in Zollanvari’s (The father of modern gabbeh) workshop in Persia. The design is unusual and is divided into three vertical sections. The middle section features abstract flowers on navy blue. Both sides of center section are undyed wool with colorful dots. The design is finished by an outstanding border.
