RugAdvice is a family business located in the heart of Melbourne and takes its roots from the old city of Tabriz, Iran. Carrying out multi-generational knowledge in the handwoven rugs tradition, we value providing authentic collection and genuine rugs to our customers. Our mission is to continue this invaluable ancient tradition by supporting the remaining weavers. We feel called to introduce this rich culture and contribute to its expansion to Western cultures. Our online shop serves to decorate Australian homes and businesses in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and here in Victoria. We deliver to brighten up your homes all around the Australia including regional areas for free.
Our carefully collected hand-knotted rugs are mostly sourced from Persia, Turkey and Afghanistan. Our unique collection consists of city and tribal rugs, kilims, highly collectible antique pieces, gabbeh rugs, hallway runners, modern rugs, woolen accessories and authentic stools. We have pieces from well-known cities such as Kashan, Isfahan, Tabriz and tribal rugs from various tribes like Qashqai, Bakhtiari, Lori and Shahseven. Our products are all made from natural fabrics and mostly with natural/organic dyes. While it is common that the handmade rugs are made from pure wool, we also have an excellent selection of luxurious handwoven silk rugs from the famous city of Qum, Hereke and Kayseri. Having a great variety of hand-knotted oriental and contemporary rugs, we can connect you with your dream rug.
If you are not sure how to choose the right size, our professional team can absolutely give you the best advice! Our rugs vary from mini rugs to palace size rugs and medium sizes in between. We also provide our Melbournian customers with a home trial/rug interior service. In a home trial appointment, we bring your chosen rugs to your space so that you can make the best decision by seeing them in the actual setting. It is important for us to help you find the rug that suits your needs the most. Buying an authentic hand-knotted rug is similar to buying an art piece as it will last for generations and will add character to your space.
Happy rug shopping!
