Persian Gabbeh runners are authentic handwoven runners made by tribal people in Fars Province of Persia. Being made of Hand Spun Wool and coarser knots, Gabbeh is an extremely thicker version of a Persian Rugs.
This beautiful Gabbeh runner is made by Qashqai Tribe in Persia. The field features minimalistic animal motifs on a lovely grass green tone. The color palette further includes burgundy and navy blue tones. There are color changes within the field and border called “Abrash” which comes from different batches of wool and organic dyes. This results in stunning stripes of different tones in one color. This Persian gabbeh shows a great example of abrash.
